FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Tea Festival?
The Tea Festival is an annual event which started in 2015 and is held over two weekends in June at Camp Howdy in Belcarra. We showcase the beautiful venue at Camp Howdy, feature organic health food and products like green teas and sourdough bread, along with a beautiful Tea Room. The festival focuses on creating a peaceful yet inspiring atmosphere to allow our guests to reconnect with nature, soak in live musical performances, eat healthy food and enjoy activities in nature like hiking and archery. We introduce principles for healthy living so you can live your best.
What is your pet policy?
We value all our guests with disabilities, and we welcome service animals, defined as any dog trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability. Guests who use service animals must retain control of their animals at all times and should keep them on a leash while visiting.
Is parking free? Where do we park?
Parking is free and is on site. When the park is busy, the gate entrance to White Pine Beach is closed. Camp Howdy is in White Pine Beach of Belcarra Regional Park. At such times, you should drive up to the gate and let the park ranger know that you are attending the Tea Festival and they will let you in. We are thinking of introducing a shuttle in 2018.
Are the grounds wheelchair accessible?
The festival is held outdoors on a grassy area with gravel paths and the fields are part of our venue endorsing nature. As such there are some areas that will be inaccessible to guests in wheelchairs. We do have a handicap path from the tea room to the main marketplace and have a few reserved handicapped parking spots. Let the parking attendant know you are handicapped and please display your handicap sign on your car.
Do you accept cash or credit cards?
We accept both cash and credit cards at all the food booths, the tea room, and the Organic Market Place.
How can I become a volunteer?
The Tea Festival is looking for volunteers to help make the festival a success. Please fill out the Volunteer form here if you are interested in being part of this great festival.
